DESCRIPTION:As we approach a national election\, Catholics are called to bear public witness to our faith by defending human dignity and promoting the common good. Catholics in Communion\, a national movement joining hands to build what Pope Leo calls “the civilization of love\,” invites you to a virtual theological conference on Participation\, Dignity & Elections\, to be held Wednesday\, September 16\, and Thursday\, September 17\, from 7-9:30 p.m. This event\, co-sponsored by Loyola University Chicago\, Boston College\, and Emory’s Candler School of Theology\, among others\, is free and open to the public.  \n\n\n\nThere will be a local “watch party” on the second night of the conference\, Thursday\, September 17\, hosted by Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Atlanta. This gathering will allow for in-person conversations\, community-building and a focus on local concerns.
