During Catholic Schools Week, the nation celebrates the gift of Catholic education. Here in the Archdiocese of Atlanta, this week marks the time for the schools to gather their strongest spellers to compete against each other in the Annual Archdiocesan Spelling Bee. The event combines rivalry, excitement, and fun as representatives from twenty schools test their skills against each other.
Competitors in the Archdiocesan Bee must first win both their grade level competition and their school competition in order to participate. Held in accordance with the rules and procedures of the Scripps National Spelling Bee, the Archdiocesan Bee’s participants range from 4th through 8th grades.
