Catholic Social Teaching is a central and essential element of our faith. The themes of Catholic Social teaching are built on the premise that everyone is a child of God and deserves respect and dignity. All Catholics are asked to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ; and, in so doing, reflect the themes of Catholic Social teachings on how to interact with each other, our society, and the world.

Bishop Bernard Shlesinger will share his thoughts on the topics of Catholic Social Teaching and how germane they are in today’s world. Bishop Ned will tell the audience about his personal visit with Pope Francis earlier this year and how the interaction impacted him. He will also share his thoughts on the recent events surrounding the interaction of law enforcement and citizens. We will entertain Q/A after Bishop Ned’s remarks.
