SUMMARY:The Way for Women Retreat
DESCRIPTION:The Office of Victim Assistance has scheduled a three-day guided meditation and prayer program for women whose abuse by another has deeply affected their heart\, mind\, body and soul. Registration deadline is Friday\, September 25. \n\n\n\nHave you experienced or are you experiencing dread\, confusion\, deep hurt\, betrayal or anger when you think of the abuse you have suffered? Or maybe you are feeling nothing at all.  You have every right to these feelings…they are natural reactions to the trauma you have survived. \n\n\n\nYou may be asking yourself: \n\n\n\n\nWhat do I do with all of this?\n\n\n\nHow will confronting my abuse experience affect my life?\n\n\n\nHow will I ever recover my trust in people\, God\, my Church again?\n\n\n\nDoes it really matter?\n\n\n\nDo I matter?\n\n\n\n\nThe Way is the path to take to find answers to these and many other questions for which your heart\, mind\, body\, and soul have been searching.  This is where your healing journey begins. These three days of guided meditations and prayer crafted around the Stations of the Cross will show you the steps Christ took to overcome dread\, confusion\, deep hurt\, betrayal and anger not only for his experience of abuse – which culminated in his death on the cross and new life in the Resurrection – but for your abuse as well.  You can choose to walk The Way with him\, learn his ways\, transform your pain and suffering into a new life\, the life God has always wanted for you but that the sins of another has disfigured in countless ways. \n\n\n\nPrice: The retreat fee is $350 and includes a private room\, all meals\, retreat program and retreat materials. (Note: if money is a serious concern\, please reach out to us. We do have limited scholarships available upon request.) \n\n\n\nQuestions and Registration: \n\n\n\nPlease contact Sue Stubbs at sstubbs@archatl.com or 404-920-7554.

SUMMARY:Life-Giving Wounds Retreat - November 7\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Life-Giving Wounds Atlanta Chapter is offering three one-day retreats in 2026 for young adults and adults whose parents are divorced or separated. These retreats invite participants to move through the broken image of love witnessed in their parents’ relationship toward their deepest identity found in God. \n\n\n\nThe sessions will help participants gain a greater understanding of the wound of divorce and its ongoing effects. Attendees will receive guidance on navigating difficulties with love and trust\, while discovering how the Catholic faith\, spiritual practices\, and the Sacraments are essential to self-knowledge and healing. \n\n\n\nThese retreats offer something for every adult child of divorce or separation\, regardless of where they are on their healing journey. You may choose to attend a single session or all three throughout the year. \n\n\n\nYou don’t have to attend our previous sessions to join the next one! Each one-day retreat covers a different topic on the healing journey\, making it highly beneficial as a standalone experience. However\, attending all three in sequence will give you the most complete journey. \n\n\n\nThis event is only available in English. \n\n\n\nNovember 7th | Our Lady of the Assumption\, BrookhavenTopic: Forgiveness and redemptive suffering \n\n\n\nOther Dates and topics covered:\n\n\n\nMay 30th | St. Catherine of Siena Parish\, Kennesaw (Registration Closed) \n\n\n\nTopic: Grief and recovering one’s faith and identity \n\n\n\nAugust 1st | St. Peter Chanel\, Roswell (with Dr. Dan Meola) \n\n\n\nTopic: Relationships – anger and anxiety
