Pastoral Strategies for Racial Healing in Our Communities

Monday, February 15, 2021

10:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Virtual Presentation

The Ministry of Justice and Peace and the Office of Intercultural Ministries will present a study day on Pastoral Strategies for Racial Healing in Our Communities.  The goal is to provide priests with effective, concrete strategies and resources for promoting racial healing.  We will engage the bishops’ pastoral letter on racism, Open Wide Our Hearts: The Enduring Call to Love, through the lenses of encounter, preaching and catechesis, as well as facilitate conversation on intercultural competencies and the implementation of anti-racist programming.  In preparation for this study day, all priests will be asked to return a survey so that we can best address specific concerns and challenges. The survey will be sent out by mid-October.
