April 4, 2018 marked the 50th anniversary of the death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His assassination sent shockwaves reverberating around the world. While his life was cut short, his legacy continues. “Without justice, there can be no peace.” These words are as true today as they were when he wrote them over fifty years ago. The fiftieth anniversary of Dr. King’s death is especially meaningful for the ecumenical community here in Atlanta.
Guests include Lutheran Bishop Julian Gordy, Greek Orthodox Fr. Panayiotis Papageorgiou, Civil Rights Leader/Baptist Pastor Rev. Dr. Gerald Durley and Episcopal Bishop Don Wimberly.
