An estimated 5.8 million Americans age 65+ are currently living with Alzheimer’s dementia, increasingly impacting individuals, caregivers, families, and parish communities. Please join us for a special session Thursday, January 21 at 10:00am“We Are Because God Sustains Us in God’s Memory”: A Pastoral Response to Dementia co-presented by Maggie Rousseau, M.Ed., Director of Disabilities Ministry and Mary Cohen, MPH, Associate Director of Senior Adult Ministry. We will share some information about the nature of Alzheimer’s and other dementias and offer suggestions for ministerial practice. We will also invite reflection, comments, and questions from our attendees to further our collective understanding.

Please share this opportunity with anyone in your parishes who may be interested, including ministers to the homebound, pastoral care associates, adult faith formation leaders, disability ministry leaders, administrative staff, caregivers ministry leaders, etc.

If you have questions in advance, please contact Mary Cohen at or Bill Clarke at
