Starve Wars Episode VIn celebration of the 25th Annual Eucharistic Congress and our 5th Annual Starve Wars Meal Packing on Friday, June 12, we have raised our meal goal to 150,000 meals. We will combine that with parish Prequel meal packing events that will be scheduled throughout the spring in order to pack a total of 250,000 meals.

In order to reach this goal, STARVE WARS has to be bigger than ever before. We will double our Friday morning packing sessions (9:00 and 11:00 a.m.) to accommodate 600 packers at each session.

Having raised our meal goal means that our financial obligation has also greatly increased. We must raise $75,000 to cover the cost of meals and lifesaving development aid for Burkina Faso. We can only do that with your help. As part of your participation in STARVE WARS, we challenge you to raise at least $200 – that’s 400 meals! If you consider that a single meal packed feeds a family of five, you can feed as many as 2,000 people when you raise $200.

This year, we will highlight the impact and importance of Catholic education in all its forms. Therefore, we are putting a special call out to schools, youth ministry groups, and faith formation classes to form teams to fundraise and compete to raise the most money and pack the most meals. We will make sure our winners receive recognition for all of their hard work!

Help us, Archdiocese of Atlanta, you’re our only hope!
