World Day of Prayer on the 5th Anniversary of Laudato Si’

This year marks the 5th anniversary of the publication of Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home. To celebrate and recognize our continued call to care for creation, the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development is sponsoring Laudato Si’ Week, to be held May 16-24.

As part of this observance, the global Church has been invited to participate in a world day of solidarity and prayer on Sunday, May 24, at 12:00 p.m. (local time). We encourage any parishes with the technical capabilities to do so to host an online prayer service. The Common Prayer for the Fifth Anniversary of Laudato Si’ can be found here.
