Christian Initiation of Adults
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process for adults to be received into the Catholic Church and includes adaptations for older children (over the age of 7) seeking full initiation into the Catholic Church. The Order of Christian Initiation leads to the celebration of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
The Office of Evangelization and Discipleship primarily serves parish catechetical leaders responsible for the OCIA in a parish. Those seeking full communion with the Catholic Church through this process should contact their local Catholic parish.
