The Catholic Home Missions Appeal supports dioceses in the United States that face fragile financial situations, vast distances, or rugged terrain that significantly impacts their ability to offer the most basic pastoral programs to the faithful. Today, nearly 40 percent of dioceses in the United States and its territories cannot fund the essential pastoral work their communities need.
