Welcome to the Office Child and Youth Protection’s (OCYP) website. We strive to empower all our parishes, schools, families, and individuals to create and maintain safe environments for our children and youth.

We are committed to comply with Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People established by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in 2002.

The Charter is a comprehensive set of procedures for addressing allegations of sexual abuse of minors by Catholic clergy. The Charter also includes guidelines for reconciliation, healing, accountability, and prevention of future acts of abuse.

We hope you will find this webpage helpful and informative. You will find an overview of our services, resources for victims/survivors of child sexual abuse and their families, important information for clergy, staff and volunteers, as well as a link to our Safe Environment Program requirements.
