Catholic Healthcare Institutions in Georgia
- CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital, Ringgold – Opened in January 2026 to serve communities in North Georgia.
- Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Atlanta – Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1880. A Catholic hospital chaplain is on staff for patients and families.
- Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Home, Atlanta – Founded in 1939 by the Hawthorne Dominican Sisters, it is currently one of the seven free cancer homes operated by the sisters.
- Gift of Grace House, Atlanta – Operated by the Missionaries of Charity, it is a home for women with AIDS. For more information, call 404-892-5111.
- Kkottongnae Care Home, Tucker – Operated by the Congregation of Kkottongnae Sisters of Jesus from Korea to serve the elderly.
- St. Mary’s Healthcare Systems, Athens – St. Mary’s Catholic Hospital was managed by the Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus beginning in 1938. In 1998, management was transferred to the Sisters of Mercy, South Central Community.
Catholic Senior Living Facilities in Georgia
- St. George Village in Roswell combines independence, a resort lifestyle and welcoming spirit.
- St. Joseph Place is an independent living community provided by Catholic Charities Atlanta for low-income seniors. Residents must be at least 62 years of age and income restrictions apply.
Health Services
- Mercy Care Atlanta, rooted in services provided by the Sisters of Mercy, provides whole-person care that extends beyond the clinic walls, ensuring dignity, access and compassion for all. It is part of Saint Joseph’s Health System and Trinity Health. Walkins are welcome at all clinics.
- St. Vincent de Paul Georgia Community Pharmacy is a fully licensed charitable pharmacy staffed by a licensed pharmacist and technicians. Services are available for the entire state of Georgia to support residents who cannot afford their prescription medication.
