Will Brock

Background

I grew up between Gainesville and Cleveland, Georgia. I spent the majority of my time in Cleveland at my grandparents’ llama farm. My grandfather is a Catholic priest named Fr. Thad Rudd, my grandmother was named Sherri Rudd, she died in 2009. My parents are Warner Brock, as well as Butch and Kendyl Hunter. I am the oldest of 7. I also am now an uncle to a little fella named Henry, unfortunately for him, he looks like me!

Hobbies and Interests

I love to pray, workout, sports, and get into random situations.

Favorite Scripture

1 Peter 5:8 – Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for [someone] to devour.

(This life is not a game, gotta keep your head on a swivel!)

Favorite Saint

Our Blessed Mother, she always hears my prayers, makes them perfect, and takes them to the Father. She has softened my heart in a way that I never knew was possible.

Vocation Story

The Lord brought a lot of information and situations into my life that made me realize how I can never understand how much He truly loves me. The life that I have been given, life itself, is such a gift, how can I do anything besides give Him all that I have? The world needs heroes, the world needs fathers, living in the Bronx working with the children showed me this. People are starving for love; I want to help. I just want people to get to Heaven more than anything, the best way for me to do this is to give my life to Christ and His Church to hopefully save a few souls.

What I am looking forward to when I become a Priest.

Finding the lost sheep and letting them know how much they are loved.

Advice for other Discerning the Priesthood.

You will never know what ice cream tastes like until you taste it. You can think about it all you want, but you will never know its sweetness until you try. Deny yourself, follow Christ, and He will lead you to incredible places. We have two ears and one mouth, listen to the Lord, He will never abandon you, if it is not for you, He will get you out. Always give Him your first, this, most especially, includes your life.
