Watch Party—Participation, Dignity and Elections —A Virtual Catholic Theological Conference
September 17 at 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
As we approach a national election, Catholics are called to bear public witness to our faith by defending human dignity and promoting the common good. Catholics in Communion, a national movement joining hands to build what Pope Leo calls “the civilization of love,” invites you to a virtual theological conference on Participation, Dignity & Elections, to be held Wednesday, September 16, and Thursday, September 17, from 7-9:30 p.m. This event, co-sponsored by Loyola University Chicago, Boston College, and Emory’s Candler School of Theology, among others, is free and open to the public.
There will be a local “watch party” on the second night of the conference, Thursday, September 17, hosted by Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Atlanta. This gathering will allow for in-person conversations, community-building and a focus on local concerns. This event is also free, but we ask you to complete a separate registration form for planning purposes.
