Saint Joseph’s parish in Athens, Georgia was founded in 1873 and currently comprises the following territory in northeast Georgia: Clarke County, Madison County, Oconee County and that part of Oglethorpe County which lies to the west of a line comprised of state route 22 south from the Madison County line and continuing south on state route 77 to the Greene County line.
