Director of Faith Formation

St. George Catholic Church in Newnan is seeking a full-time director of faith formation. This position reports directly to the pastor and is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the faith formation department, including the recruitment, training and support of volunteer catechists and aides. Duties include overseeing faith formation programs for youth in kindergarten through grade 12, OCIA and adult faith formation programs. The ideal candidate has a degree in theology or extensive experience in religious education; is a self-starter with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and proficient in Microsoft Office. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. Must be fully committed to the teachings of the Catholic Church and be an active, practicing Catholic in good standing.
