Coordinator of Elementary and Middle School Faith Formation

St. James the Apostle Catholic Church in McDonough seeks a full-time coordinator of elementary and middle school faith formation to oversee programs for children in K-8th grade, including elementary religious education, middle school ministry (Edge) and preparation for first reconciliation and holy communion. Working closely with the director of faith formation and youth ministry, clergy, catechists, parents and volunteers, this position organizes weekly faith formation sessions; recruits and support catechists; oversees sacramental preparation; manages registrations and attendance; communicate with families; assist with Vacation Bible School, retreats and seasonal events and ensures all programs are in line with Catholic teaching and parish goals. Must be willing to support and uphold the mission and teachings ofthe Catholic Church; possess a strong knowledge of the faith and sacramental theology; have experience working with children, families, volunteers or faith formation programs and strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Fine Arts Teacher and Director of Band
