Director of Music and Organist

Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a full-time director of music and organist. Reporting to the pastor and collaborating with pastoral staff, this role is responsible for all music associated with worship, religious education and the parish school; performs three liturgies per weekend and major feasts as an accompanist (piano and organ) and choir director; coordinates and staffs all other liturgies with qualified volunteer or paid musicians; oversees all instrumentalists and accompanists to ensure high‑quality musical performance and plans and executes music for all weekend, school and special liturgies. Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in music or a related field (master’s preferred); are proficient in piano, organ, conducting, arranging and singing; possess strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and music‑writing/editing software such as Finale or Sibelius); and demonstrate excellent communication abilities.
