St. Lawrence Church in Lawrenceville is seeking a faith-filled, energetic and organized K-5 elementary coordinator. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing and implementing faith formation programs for children in kindergarten through 5th grade, including sacramental preparation, catechist formation, vacation bible school and collaborating with parent discipleship initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating weekly faith formation classes; preparing children for baptism, first reconciliation and first holy Communion; communicating with parents and catechists and helping to foster a welcoming environment where children can grow in their relationship with Christ and his church. St. George Catholic Church in Newnan is seeking a full-time director of faith formation. This position reports directly to the pastor and is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the faith formation department, including the recruitment, training and support of volunteer catechists and aides. Duties include overseeing faith formation programs for youth in kindergarten through grade 12, OCIA and adult faith formation programs. The ideal candidate has a degree in theology or extensive experience in religious education; is a self-starter with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and proficient in Microsoft Office. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. Must be fully committed to the teachings of the Catholic Church and be an active, practicing Catholic in good standing.
