Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming seeks a full-time director of religious education. This position is responsible for maintaining a strong and organized faith formation program that supports the spiritual needs of the parish. Responsibilities include overseeing the parish faith formation program, supervising and supporting the faith formation team, teaching sacrament preparation classes for all age groups, recruiting and training catechists and volunteers and promoting faith formation activities in the parish. Qualified candidates have a degree in theology and/or experience teaching religious education. Must be open to a flexible work schedule that includes weekends and be willing to support and uphold the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Brookhaven seeks a full-time family faith formation coordinator to equip parents as the primary educators of the faith while guiding children toward full sacramental life. This position oversees family faith formation for children in Pre-K through 5th grade; prepares children and families for first reconciliation, first Eucharist and confirmation; supports the transition from a traditional 10th grade confirmation model to a 6th grade approach and will coordinate OCIA for children (age 7+). Additional responsibilities include planning and executing Vacation Bible School, recruiting and supporting catechists and volunteers and managing program enrollment, communications and budget. Qualified candidates are a practicing Catholic with a master catechist certification or an equivalent background in theology or faith formation; have prior parish ministry experience; strong organizational, leadership and communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office. Family faith formation experience, familiarity with ParishSOFT and bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Must be available to work evenings and weekends. Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church seeks a full-time adult faith formation coordinator to lead and grow the parish’s adult evangelization and formation efforts. This position collaborates closely with parish staff to ensure a unified, family-centered approach to discipleship. Responsibilities include developing and overseeing all adult faith formation programs including the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) and adult confirmation; recruiting and supporting volunteer catechists; guiding small groups and Bible studies and organizing parish missions, retreats and workshops. Qualified candidates are practicing Catholics with a strong knowledge of Church teaching and experience in adult faith formation and OCIA. Must have a bachelor’s degree or master’s certification in theology or a related field, prior parish ministry experience and strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.
