The Jubilee Year of Hope, a special year of celebration and spiritual renewal in the Catholic Church, includes four Ember Saturday Masses at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church. Two of them have already passed (March 15, June 14).
This particular one will be in Spanish at 10 a.m., and it will be presided by Bishop Ned Shlesinger. The fourth Ember Saturday Mass will be the Rorate Mass on December 20, at 6:30 a.m.
A rosary will be recited before each Mass.
On ember days, the Church is encourage to offer thanks, engage in fasting and abstinence, pray for priests and vocations to the priesthood and offer alms or support to those in need.
