The 44th annual Good Friday Pilgrimage, urban stations of the cross, sponsored by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta’s Justice and Peace Ministries will take place Friday, April 18, 8:45 a.m.-12 p.m. This walking prayer is a moving experience that includes scripture readings, reflections and music as we remember the passion of Christ and the social injustices in our world today. We will gather to begin our journey at 8:45 a.m. at the Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, 48 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, SW, Atlanta 30303. There is a midway rest at the Loudermilk Center for use of the facilities and water bottle refills. We will conclude around 12 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 25 Boulevard, NE. A bus will be available to return participants to our starting point where public parking is available. The two-mile route is wheelchair/stroller accessible.
