Catechesis is an essential part of the broader process of renewal that the Church is called to bring about in order to be faithful to the command of Jesus Christ to proclaim always and everywhere his Gospel (cf. Mt 28:19) (Directory for Catechesis, no. 1)

Faith Formation within the Office of Evangelization and Discipleship supports the catechetical efforts of parishes in the Archdiocese of Atlanta and collaborates with the Office of Catholic Schools in support of teachers. The responsibility of Faith Formation includes supporting and implementing sacramental preparation and faith formation for children, youth and adults of the local Catholic community, with special emphasis on family evangelization and discipleship formation.

NOTE: If you are capturing signatures digitally, you must use a third-party agency (such as DocuSign) that requires a separate login.

Please be aware that all catechists, including married couples serving in a family catechesis program as teachers, co-teachers or facilitators, need to be Safe Environment compliant per Archdiocese of Atlanta Safe Environment Policy, which means they must be up-to-date on their VIRTUS training and have a current cleared background check on file.
