Christian Initiation of Adults

The Christian Initiation of Adults is the process for adults to be received into the Catholic Church. This process follows The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) and includes adaptations for older children seeking full initiation into the Catholic Church.  The Christian Initiation process leads to the celebration of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.

The Office of Formation and Discipleship primarily serves Parish Catechetical leaders responsible for the RCIA in a parish. Adults and parents of children over the age of seven who seek to enter the process of Christian Initiation should contact their local Catholic parish. Look up a parish

The Archdiocesan Forum for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a group of experienced practitioners in the implementation of the RCIA. This group includes priests, deacons, and lay persons.   The Forum blog contains resources and articles written and recommended by Forum members.
