Deacon Steve Swope from St. George Catholic Church in Newnan visited Greece as a Catholic Relief Services Global Fellow Educator to take a closer look at the European refugee crisis.
“This trip has three components,” he explained, “get a better understanding of the situation on the ground, see the Church’s response and how are we meeting the needs of this humanitarian crisis, and bring the story back to the U.S. so people can see the truth and have a better understanding of what’s going on over there.”
