Please pray for the repose of the soul of Fr. Michael S. Sherliza, who passed away last night, October 22.
The Vigil will be held on Thursday, October 25, beginning with the Reception of the Body at 6:00 p.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 87 Lacy St NW, Marietta, GA 30060.
The Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a reception for priests, family and close friends at the St. Joseph’s Rectory.
The Funeral Mass will be the following day, Friday, October 26, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. A reception will follow the Mass. All are invited to wear a black fedora (Fr. Mike’s signature) to the Mass, if you wish. He personally said that he would love this.
Inurnment will be on Monday, October 29, at 1:00 p.m. at Arlington Memorial Park, in the St. John Vianney section, at 201 Mt. Vernon Hwy. NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
In lieu of flowers, Father Mike requested that donations be made to either Saint Vincent de Paul or Catholic Charities.
