Social Action Ministry works in many parishes and dioceses to encourage action and to develop understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and its application to works of charity and justice.

The themes of more than 100 years of Catholic Social Teaching include: Life and Dignity of the Human Person, Call to Family and Participation, Rights and Responsibilities, Option for the Poor and Vulnerable, the Dignity and Rights of Workers, Solidarity and Care for God’s Creation.

One of the primary purposes of Justice and Peace Ministries is to offer education, resources, and guidance to parishes on Catholic Social Teaching and issues of social concern. We are available to help you offer parish presentations on Catholic Social Teaching and opportunities for implementation through local or national programs. Please contact us with your questions and comments.
