Facility Inspections

CCSI conducts annual facility inspections of all Archdiocesan Parishes and Schools. The inspections include all Parish and school buildings, rectories, outbuildings, storage buildings, parking lots, athletic fields and grounds. Certified inspectors perform these inspections and will contact the Parish/School to schedule a convenient time to perform the inspections. CCSI’s facility inspections are done in addition to the annual safety inspections conducted by Catholic Mutual Insurance.

Facility inspection reports provide information to the Pastor/Principal about various maintenance issues and are intended to help them plan for the upkeep and repair of their parish or school facilities. To the extent possible, inspectors look at the interior and exterior of all structures including but not limited to roofing, HVAC systems, windows, flooring, plumbing, electrical. They pay particular attention to life safety issues. Life safety issues are highlighted as such and should be addressed as soon as is possible by the Pastor/Principal.

Once an inspection is completed, a report of the findings are furnished to the Pastor/Principal and to the CCSI Project Manager assigned to the property. Your CCSI Project Manager will review the inspection and is available to recommend or assist in contracting a vendor to perform needed repairs. Some repairs or replacements may warrant the engagement of specialized consultants (HVAC, Roof, Electrical) needed to recommend and design the methods of repair and replacement.
