The mission statement for the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Atlanta states,

Our schools are committed to providing an excellent education in an environment of spiritual, moral, intellectual, and physical formation in accordance with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.  The Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Atlanta serve a vital role in the evangelizing and educational mission of the Church.”

Excellence in faith formation and outstanding academic preparation have always been hallmarks of our schools.

In his address to a delegation from the Global Researchers Advancing Catholic Education (April, 2022) Pope Francis stated, “Catholic education and formation are more important than ever in an age awash in information often transmitted without wisdom or critical sense.” Recognizing that our students possess unique talents and unlimited potential, our schools offer rigorous, yet achievable, educational standards while providing formation of the whole child – mind, body and spirit – as curriculum objectives are delivered through a Catholic worldview.

Please feel free to further explore the website for the Office of Catholic Schools, the Archdiocese of Atlanta, and the websites for each of our 16 archdiocesan and 7 independent schools. These websites are easily accessible through the numerous links found on the “Find a School” tab.

I am proud to serve as the superintendent of schools for such outstanding educational institutions. Let us show your family with a Catholic education can provide for your children as well as your family. Faith, Family, Excellence – preparing our students to serve God, others, and the common good in the world today.

Sincerely,

Diane Starkovich, Ph.D.
Superintendent of Schools
Archdiocese of Atlanta
